When in Rome, spike it in their face.

Women’s medalists from the
Rome Grand Slam

Julius Caesar was once quoted as saying, “Veni, vidi, vici”, which translates to, “I came, I saw, I conquered.”

After attending the Rome Grand Slam this last weekend, the US beach volleyball teams can relate to that sentiment. Men’s team Phil Dalhausser and Sean Rosenthal, as well as women’s team April Ross and Jennifer Kessy, tapped into that ancient Roman drive to conquer and turned it into excellent results on the court. Dalhausser and Rosenthal took home Gold medals, with their female counterparts claiming Silver.

For both teams this was an important momentum boost with the World Championships looming at Stare Jablonki, which is in Poland, right around the corner. That event starts July 1st.

We’re very proud of our USA teams and hope they keep up the great work representing not only the sport of volleyball, but the USA as a whole. Keep it up!
